Margarita..

Margarita Corporan is a New York City–based photographer and founder whose work sits at the intersection of editorial excellence and modern brand storytelling. Born in Washington, DC to Peruvian and Dominican parents, and raised between the United States and South America, her early exposure to diverse cultures shaped a lifelong sensitivity to narrative, place, and human connection.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Margarita has built a multifaceted career spanning nearly every layer of the photography industry. She began as a photo assistant and studio manager before transitioning into editorial leadership. Starting in 1999, she served as a photography editor for some of the most influential publications in the industry, including People Magazine, Marie Claire, Us Weekly, People en Español, and Parade. Her editorial contributions earned a Henry Luce Award and recognition from the Society of Publication Designers.

In 2011, Margarita stepped back behind the lens, bringing with her a seasoned editorial eye and a deep understanding of brand strategy. Her client portfolio includes Google, YouTube, Meta, Amazon, McCann Worldwide, Omnicom Group, Tiger Global, Libra Group, Bentley, and MasterCard, as well as leading advertising agencies and nonprofit organizations.

In 2024, she launched Be So Present Productions, an experiential content studio designed for the immediacy and scale of today’s brand activations. With a nationally distributed team of photographers, videographers, and on-site editors, Margarita delivers high-impact visual content in real time—balancing creative integrity with production precision.

Alongside commercial work, Margarita maintains an active personal practice, including Evadama, her long-running abstract fine art series, and an ongoing visual exploration of her globally blended family. Across all endeavors, her work is grounded in trust, clarity, and an enduring commitment to visual storytelling.
